How to Escalate a TD Complaint

Step 1: Contact TD Directly

Start by contacting TD customer service through EasyWeb, the TD app, by phone, or in-branch. Document the date, time, and what was discussed. Keep reference numbers for all interactions.

Step 2: Send a Written Complaint

If initial contact doesn't resolve your issue, send a formal written complaint using the template above. This creates a paper trail and often receives more attention.

Step 3: Escalate to TD Customer Care

If standard customer service can't help, escalate your complaint to TD's Customer Care team. They have more authority to resolve complex issues.

Step 4: Contact TD Office of the Ombudsman

If your complaint is not resolved by Customer Care, you can escalate to TD's internal Ombudsman office. They provide an independent internal review.

Step 5: File with OBSI

If TD hasn't resolved your complaint after 90 days, or if you receive a final response you disagree with, you can file a complaint with the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI). Step 6: FCAC (for Regulatory Issues)

The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) regulates banks and ensures they comply with consumer protection measures. While FCAC doesn't resolve individual disputes, you can file a complaint about potential regulatory violations.
