How It Works
A plain-English explanation of how DisputeLetter.ca generates your dispute letter, handles your documents, processes payments, and protects your privacy.
Fill Out the Form
You start by telling us about your dispute: your contact information, the company you're complaining to, what happened, and what resolution you want. This typically takes 2-3 minutes.
Choose "Basic Letter" ($4.99) for straightforward disputes, or "Smart Letter" ($9.99) if you want to upload supporting documents.
Free Preview
Your dispute letter is generated based on your inputs. You can preview the letter before paying. Review it carefully to make sure it accurately represents your situation and the resolution you want.
If the letter doesn't look right, you can go back and edit your inputs, or simply leave without paying.
Payment via Stripe
If you're happy with the preview, you pay through Stripe - a trusted payment processor used by millions of businesses worldwide. We never see or store your credit card details.
- Basic Letter: $4.99 CAD (one-time)
- Smart Letter: $9.99 CAD (one-time)
- No subscriptions, no recurring charges
Download Your PDF
After payment, you can immediately download your letter as a professional PDF. The letter is ready to print and mail, or you can copy the text to send by email.
Smart Document Upload Handling
If you choose the Smart Letter option and upload supporting documents (contracts, receipts, notices), here's what happens:
- Transient processing: Your files are processed to extract relevant facts and dates.
- Immediate deletion: The original files are deleted immediately after extraction.
- Minimal summaries: Only brief text summaries may be retained (typically up to ~2 hours) to complete the letter generation flow.
- No long-term storage: We do not store your letters or documents after delivery.
